Casement Window Options
Casement glass windows are yet another favored window selection and are Zen Windows’ favorite type of window. Similar to Awning windows, Casements open using a Casementcrank handle, but are hinged on the side. They can either be used single or as pairs in a common frame while swinging open for maximum ventilation.
Regardless of powerful winds, Casement windows prevent from closing with a crank, friction hinge, or casement stay. Casements generally perform best on smaller windows that are taller than they are wide (complete opposite of awning windows).
On large casement windows, the extra weight of the glass could be heavy enough causing the hinges to bend over time. Casements perform best on smaller windows that are taller than they are wide (complete opposite of awning windows). For this reason, small to medium-size openings are generally a more suitable fit. Casement windows are often found above sinks, counter tops and appliances. However, they can be placed anywhere in the home.
